CSI and Evidence Collection!

Officer Protsman of the Lansing Police Department did a great program on CSI last week, and everyone who came had a great time. (There were some really good questions asked!) Officer Protsman demonstrated fingerprinting techniques and talked about the ways police have to get fingerprints off anything. Here's a scrap of paper he was able to pull fingerprints off:

It didn't scan too well, but you can see where somebody picked up this paper and handed it to him. He also took fingerprints from a rock, a piece of wood, a stapler, and more. Then we got to visit the CSI van and see all the equipment the police work with in there. It was great!

If you'd like to see pictures from the program, stop by the Teen Desk! And thanks to Britney B. for the use of your camera!
